Oakdale’s Gladys Lemmons Center Is Rented for Senior Events Only

OAKDALE — November 2, 2026. Oakdale’s facility rental page distinguishes its large Gene Bianchi Community Center from the Gladys Lemmons Senior Community Center, which carries special restrictions.

Capacity and permitted uses

The city lists Gene Bianchi Community Center capacity of 450 for dining or 1,000 in assembly format. Gladys Lemmons Senior Center is listed at 150 dining or 200 assembly, but may be rented only for senior-oriented activities such as senior birthday celebrations.

A restriction on fundraising

Oakdale’s published policy states that the Senior Center is not rented for fundraising events. Organizations interested in a large public celebration should inquire about another facility rather than assume a hall can be used for any type of program.

Who handles reservations

Recreation Services lists 209-845-3571. Charges depend on private, commercial or nonprofit status and optional services; the facility’s maximum capacity is not proof a specific date is available.
